Compassionate Dorset held our first ever film screening which we hope will be the first of many film nights. The evening was officially supported by the Mayor of Dorchester Tess James and we also celebrated our group's 2nd birthday and raised £70.00 to fund more events. We hosted the film 'Pig Business' in Dorchester, a film which follows Tracy Worcester, a mother and campaigner, as she confronts the giant meat corporations that sweep across the world undermining rural communities, human health, the environment and animal welfare. It explains how we can take back control by buying meat raised to high animal welfare standards from the local producers. For more information visit www.pigbusiness.co.uk.

We also showed the short film 'The Big Idea' by Compassion in World Farming which you can watch online here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuHaH1LaJwQ
