Dietician Sandra Hood will giving another meat-free (vegan) cookery demonstration under Compassionate Dorset, during the Dorset Womens Day, showing how you can make easy, delicious and nutritious food without using any animal ingredients - whether you want to go vegan, vegetarian or just cut down on your meat and dairy consumption for your health or for the planet. Compassionate Dorset will also have a stall with lots of free recipes and selling our t-shirts in aid of Compassion in World Farming.

Compassionate Dorset are having a street collection in South Street Dorchester town centre and outside Waitrose -
in aid of Compassion in World Farming and handing out their newly updated Compassionate Food Guides.
Thanks to generous Waitrose shoppers, Anna and Laura collected £159.65 for Compassion in World Farming

Thanks to our volunteers Claire, Bonnie, Katy, Pete the Free Range Beef Farmer (!), Sheila and Nicky, plus the generous Tolpuddle festival go-ers, we raised £143.94 (£83.94 profit after CIWF's event fee) for Compassion in World Farming and got hundreds of signatures for the Project Pig Petition

Thanks to our dedicated volunteer Claire who braved the wind and rain we raised a further £10 for Compassion in World Farming and got a £5 donation for Compassionate Dorset too!

Compassionate Dorset will be celebrating BAKE WITH COMPASSION MONTH in aid of Compassion in World Farming with our popular annual vegan cake sale in Dorchester town centre.
Thanks to the generous people of Dorchester and our fantastic volunteers; Sandra, Liz (above left), Katy (above right), Charlotte, Genevieve, Sue and Sheila (plus our additional bakers Anna and Claire), we collected £230.40 for Compassion in World Farming which is over £100 more than last year!

Compassionate Dorset are very excited to have been invited to have a stall at this Family Green Fair and Apple Day Celebrating Sustainability, Conservation, all things Appley & this year join their pledge to save our Bees! The day promises stalls, local hot foods, local cider, ancient trading, ancient wessex network history village, bushcraft for kids, den building, chalk carving, archery, meet the wildlife, storytelling, forest school, green woodworking, local green & heritage skills, lashings of apple & honey cake, juicing, preserves, loads of hands on have a go activities, and lots of live music and lots of buskers, young & old. Compassionate Dorset may even have our own compassionate apple cakes too! The organisers are really, really sorry, but No Dogs are allowed except guide dogs.

Saturday 19th October will see the remarkable story of a maverick organic dairy farmer and his unruly cows come to Dorset for a special screening of the British documentary film everyone is talking about!
"The number one movie of the Sundance 2013 Film Festival"
Compassionate Dorset have been granted special permission by the filmmakers of the Moo Man to have this fundraising film night in aid of the farm animal welfare charity Compassion in World Farming which was itself founded by a concerned dairy farmer, on a mission to improve the lives of farm animals. There will be a licensed bar, compassionate raffle and we will have our popular funky farm animal t-shirts for sale too.
